I'm an amateur photographer and web developer. I'm looking to build my portfolio in both photography and website development and design. I figured one of the best ways to develop both simultaneously is to do some custom portfolio sites for models, photographers and MUAs to help build a working relationship that can move from web design to photography.

I have a very strong web design and programming background. My career is in software development with web design as a hobby/passion. I have developed a series of reusable web libraries built with php, mysql, html, css and javascript that make a great basis for developing custom sites that can easily be expanded. Each site has a customized admin panel that allows for easy updating of blogs, galleries, users or any other content related to the site. I can build and design a website with any feature that a client requires.

I'm primarily looking for local clients, although non locals are welcome as well, as discussing design in person is a lot easier than via email as you can sketch out ideas together. As well it gives the opportunity to work in a barter system. I'm willing to make portfolio sites for models and MUAs in exchange for photo shoot opportunities. For photographers, as I'm still learning photography, I would accept lessons or even used camera/studio gear as part of payment for a portfolio site. Without barter my rates are very reasonable and much lower than any full time developer or designer. There is hosting fees, but for the time being I'll throw in a full year of hosting free.
